KneronDFUT-Ubuntu can only be run on Ubuntu 18.04

Saw some discussion with same issues back in October 2021.

Current version of Ubuntu is 24.04. The DFUT can be run on Oracle Linux 8 with some rename of library files.

However it just not can not work in any other version of Ubuntu.

Can you please remove the version check instead of requesting users to downgrade or reinstall their Ubuntu into specific 18.04?

Hi Yuchen,

Unfortunately, we can't remove the version check. If you are using a version that's not 18.04, you could build your own DFUT console instead of using the pre-built DFUT GUI.

Step1: Download the latest PLUS here:

Step2: Refer to the document to build on ubuntu and add an extra command.

"cmake -D WITH_DFUT=ON .."

Or you can follow the commands below:

$ cd kneron_plus/

$ mkdir build

$ cd build/

$ cmake -D WITH_DFUT=ON ..

$ make -j

Then you will find the executive "DFUT_console" in /kneron_plus/build/bin

All functions on DFUT can be used by DFUT_console, too.

Here is a reference discussion with previous version of DFUT for KL520, and it's the same to use for KL720.
