Kneron debuts Gen AI and advancing security solutions at ISC West
Kneron, a San Diego based provider of full stack edge AI solutions established ten years ago will be showcasing its latest developments in integrated edge AI hardware and software solutions for vehicle, security, and broader AIoT use cases at the upcoming ISC West show in Las Vegas next month.
As a leader in the field of reconfigurable NPUs, Kneron has innovated in the industry by proposing dynamic memory (DMA) to enhance memory access efficiency and dynamically support different data accuracy requirements of the same neural network, enabling NPU SoC with high performance ASIC without sacrificing programmability of data-intensive algorithms.
With its unique and innovative architecture designed for outstanding performance, the Kneron team has received the IEEE CAS 2021 Darlington Best Paper Award. Kneron's 4th generation reconfigurable NPU can support running CNN, LSTM, Transformer networks, Smaller LLM simultaneously, and can do both machine vision and semantic analysis even Gen-AI with computational power efficiency, providing end-users with higher performance, lower power consumption and lower cost solutions for AI applications in various end devices.
Most AI models are limited to specific applications and frameworks. Kneron's Reconfigurable Artificial Neural Network (RANN) technology adapts in real-time to audio, 2D, or 3D recognition applications while also being compatible with mainstream AI frameworks and AI models.
Image Processor features
Kneron's unique Image Signal Processor (ISP) can be exploited with mainstream lenses and sensors, upholding the sensor's fidelity for photoelectric conversion, allowing images and videos to display ultra-fine details, true tonal layering, and lower noise. “HDR” technology conveys more exquisite details with up to 120dB contrast scale of scenes, revealing a richer and truly realistic visual experience.
• The "Smart Edge Enhancement" technology can improve localised image blur (out of focus) caused by lens and sensor misalignment.
• "Multi-lens and sensor ISP” technology compensates for colour and brightness deviations in stitched and/or fused video from multiple lens and sensor sources.
• Programmable dewarping matrix for fast efficient geometrical transformation & interpolation.
• Support for all kinds of fisheye lens with no lens-angle limitation.
• Supports multiple lens dewarping simultaneously.
• Hardware accelerated without performance impact on rest of the system.
• Supports multiple modes tailoring for different requirements in a wide range of wide-angle video applications such as 360°panoramic camera, 180° home camera and battery camera, 180° video doorbell, as well as wide-angle home appliance camera and home-robot camera.
