KL520 Power Consumption

I am studying the power consumption of KL520 to design an application with battery.

After consulting your related documents "Power Consumption Measurement" and "Kneron KL520 Performance Measurement", I noticed that the power consumption tested with 96 board is higher than that of FSH0AS065AA_EVB which I’m not familiar with. For exemple, for RTC mode, the power consumption with 96 board is 6.86 mW, while the FSH0AS065AA_EVB has 0.0066 mW.

I'd like to understand the big difference between the two.

  • Hi, I would recommend that you refer to the results of the EVB test. 96 boards are designed for end product test, sdk development or demonstration use. There may be components such as LEDs and LDOs in its path, so the current measured is not exactly the current drawn by the KL520.

    Normally in RTC mode, the current drained from KL520 is in uA level.

    Please also note that different code or inference model would have different current consumption.
