Kneron Wins the 2026 Dun & Bradstreet “Semiconductor Industry Award”

Kneron Wins the 2026 Dun & Bradstreet “Semiconductor Industry Award”

Endorsed by the Global Business Data Leader, Showcasing International Competitiveness and Operational Resilience
The 13th Dun & Bradstreet Taiwan,  SME Elite Award announced its list of winners today. This year’s organizer, Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), adopted “Decision AI · Seize the Future” as its annual theme and selected 1,053 companies from more than 1.7 million small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Taiwan.

Kneron has been named one of the winners of the Semiconductor Industry Award, in recognition of its long-term investment and commercialization results in edge AI chips and neural processing units (NPUs).

Kneron founder and CEO Albert Liu was invited to attend today’s award ceremony. This honor not only highlights Kneron’s R&D breakthroughs in Edge AI chip technology, it also represents high-standard certification by a leading global data institution across multiple hard metrics, including capital and financial health, international export growth and corporate data governance.

Backed by Authoritative Global Data: Demonstrating Top-Tier Operational Credit and Business Health

Dun & Bradstreet is the world’s oldest and largest business data and corporate certification organization, and its D-U-N-S Number® has become the internationally accepted standard for cross-border trade, supply chain auditing and capital assessment. Under the theme “Decision AI · Seize the Future”, this year’s D&B SME Elite Award objectively screened more than one million SMEs in Taiwan, with evaluation criteria covering the company’s payment index (PAYDEX®), financial stress index, ESG rating, export growth performance and business revenue, as well as a strict record of zero negative litigation and zero bounced checks. Standing out among numerous outstanding companies, Kneron received the Semiconductor Industry Award, a symbol that it combines both high growth potential and highly rigorous operational management capabilities.

Moving Beyond the Concept Stage toward Volume Commercialization and Global Supply Chain Deployment

Unlike conventional competitions that focus only on technical specifications, D&B’s data-driven evaluation places greater emphasis on a company’s “commercial realization” and “supply chain resilience”. Kneron focuses on the R&D of edge AI SoCs and NPU architectures; as early as 2016 it introduced NPU IP for edge devices, and in 2017 it launched its first mass-produced NPU. Its products have now successfully entered the supply chains of a leading global home appliance group, automotive suppliers and major consumer electronics manufacturers, marking its entry into the stage of genuine volume production and scaled commercialization.

In terms of product and scenario deployment, Kneron centers on an “AI chip + edge computing + imaging algorithm” approach, integrating AI vision, live-person recognition and anti-spoofing verification into compact, low-power modules, so that edge devices can perform real-time recognition and decision-making without relying on the cloud.

This year, Kneron’s 3D binocular face recognition module won a COMPUTEX 2026 Best Choice Award. During CES 2026, the company further launched a full-stack edge AI system, including the Kneo 330 and Kneo 350 for small and medium-sized businesses and the enterprise-grade Kneo Rack, extending edge AI from a single chip into deployable, localized AI infrastructure.

Receiving the Semiconductor Industry Award this time means that Kneron not only leads in technology, but that its financial soundness and cross-border commercial delivery capability have also been endorsed by a top-tier international business rating agency.

Kneron CEO Albert Liu: International Recognition Proves Kneron’s AI Chips Are Globally Competitive

Speaking at the award ceremony, Kneron founder and CEO Albert Liu said: “The first phase of AI was about training ever-larger models; the next phase is about whether intelligence can be deployed reliably in the real world. For ten years Kneron has focused on one thing — making NPUs the foundational computing power that lets edge devices understand the world. This recognition from Dun & Bradstreet’s Semiconductor Industry Award shows that edge AI is not just a technology path; it has also been validated by industry data as a business model that can be operated over the long term.”

Looking ahead, Kneron will continue to deepen the industrial application of Edge AI chip technology. As AI computing power spreads from cloud data centers to edge devices, low power consumption, low latency and data sovereignty have become key considerations for enterprises adopting AI. The company will continue to advance the convergence of edge computing and large language models, focusing on lightweight multimodal models and energy optimization technologies, to help customers in smart manufacturing, in-vehicle and smart security applications build cost-controllable, scalable localized AI capabilities.
Working with leading global industry partners, Kneron will expand its influence in markets such as automotive, smart home and edge servers, building an Edge AI computing ecosystem with international resilience and global competitiveness.
