I'm using HDK V4.0.

I'm following the guide to boot from the SD card.

The following log appears and the device won't boot.


LOG:

NOTICE: BL2: v2.10.0 (release):v.1.5.0-leipzig

NOTICE: BL2: Built : 20:47:39, Nov 13 2025

ERROR:  sd load failERROR:  BL2: Image ID(4) load fail

ERROR:  BL2: Failed to load image id 4 (-1)

    It worked after I changed the SDK to 1.3.0.

    Is SDK 1.4.1 not supported?

    Hi TaeJung,

    SDK 1.4.1 is supported, but for SDK later than 1.4.0, you will need to have OPTEE in your firmware to boot your KL730.

    Hi TaeJung,

    Yes, inside the SDK/01_BSP/01_Document/KL730_Development_Environment_User_Guide.pdf, in Section 8.5 SD Boot, it says that you will need the OP-TEE OS for your SD card.

    I'm using an HDK board, so I only looked at the HDK board guide.

    The HDK guide didn't cover this. Will it be updated in the future?
